Hermanus will be a hive of activity this weekend, and whether you are an athlete, supporter, visitor or resident, there’s something for everyone! Here’s how you can make the most of your action-packed weekend:
FUEL UP: Hermanus has an eatery that will satisfy every mood, craving and taste bud! Pop into any one of them in between all the Walkerbay Xtreme action to fuel up for the next event. Or, simply relax at one of the many restaurants along the cliff path strip to cheer on your favourite athletes over the course of the weekend.
MEET UP: You’ll have some time to kill between the Cliffpath Xtreme, Tough Mother Xtreme and Urban Xtreme on Saturday, so why not pop into one of the many markets. Vibrant, energetic and family friendly, these markets are the perfect way to take a breather in between all the day’s excitement.
LISTEN UP: If you’re tired after the day’s action, book your table for good food and live music:
|28 April||20h30||Tapas||Juan Casey|
|29 April||20h00 til late||Fishermans Cottage||Money4Jam|
|29 April||20h30||Tapas||Mark Haze|
|30 April||19h00||Tapas||Quintin Song|
XTREME CHEERING: Make your way to the cliff path that stretches along the Hermanus coastline, and cheer on your loved ones – or random strangers, as one does during a race. The cliff path will also give you the perfect birds’ eye view as swimmers tackle their open water swim from the New to the Old Harbour on Sunday.
Not in the mood to run along the cliff path? Come to the Race Village Arena, where you can follow all the action on the big screens, LIVE. This area will have plenty of shade and comfortable seating. All races (except the open water swim and SUP) will start and finish in the race village, so you will be perfectly placed to witness all the thrill and spills from the comfort of your seat. PLUS: Dylan Victor will keep spectators entertained in the Race Village Arena between events.
